Winemaker’s Notes: 🏆 Gold 93 Award Winner at Seattle Wine Awards. 🏆 Gold Award Best Carmenere of the NW by Sip Magazine. Our 2018 Carménère shows just how remarkable this grape variety—which has wowed the world since being adopted as the signature red grape in Chile—can be here in Washington State. We’ve sourced our fruit entirely from the renowned Canyon Vineyard Ranch in the Yakima Valley AVA, adding just a dollop of Petit Verdot and aging it for 22 months in about one-third new American oak barrels.
AWARDS: Gold 93 Carmenere (Seattle Wine Awards), Gold Best Carmenere of the NW (Sip Magazine 12th Annual Best of the NorthWest Wine Awards).
PAIRINGS: It’s a fantastic match for grilled meats, especially tender cuts like ribeye steak and lamb chops. Explore the rich flavors of game meats like venison or duck. It harmonizes with vegetarian options too, particularly dishes featuring roasted mushrooms or hearty bean stews.
