Winemaker’s Notes: The wine world has justifiably fallen in love with Malbec, a grape so delicious that it skyrocketed Argentina’s entire wine industry to international fame. As much as we love those wines, we’ve never believed that Argentina should have a monopoly on this fantastic variety (it did originate in France, after all). Winemaker Gary Seidler searched for years before discovering small quantities of world-class Malbec growing right nearby in Columbia Valley.
PAIRINGS: It’s perfect on its own -especially with a very slight chill, which enhances the bright berry flavors- or paired up with grilled/barbecued/roasted mushrooms, sausage, game or red meats (beef, lamb, venison), cured meats, hard cheese, black pepper.
