The Conversation Pack Brut

$190 $145

Three reds from three different places, made from grapes that have never met. Open them side by side and see if the table can agree on a favorite. They won’t. That’s why it’s called the Conversation.

The 2021 Syrah comes from Goose Ridge, out near Red Mountain. Washington planted its first Syrah forty years ago, and now it’s the third most planted red grape in the state. Mine’s the one I’d open on a weeknight for no reason, or pour for somebody who thinks they don’t like red.

The 2022 Mourvèdre was supposed to be a backup singer. I bought six barrels for a blend with Grenache and Syrah, the way they’ve done it in the south of France for a few hundred years. The blend never happened, so I bottled the Mourvèdre on its own. Almost nobody bottles it alone, so most people have never tasted it this way.

The Malbec comes from the Wahluke Slope, one of the warmest places to grow grapes in Washington. The 2023 took Double Gold and 94 points at the 2026 Seattle Wine Awards.

Your fourth bottle is the Brut. It’s eighty percent Chardonnay, it’s dry, and I made it with the holidays in mind. Start with it, then let the reds do the talking.
