How the night goes
5:30 · Get settled. Come up the hill, find your seats, and say hi to the people around you. There’ll be some food on the table. Gary, Tamera and Chris from our team will be around all night to pour and answer questions.
Meet the three wines. Gary walks everyone through the three wines you’ll blend with: Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Merlot. Each one is a single grape, poured from the same bottles he works with when he builds a blend. He’ll tell you what each one adds to a wine.
Build your blend. Every seat gets a pipette (a little dropper), small measuring cylinders and a card. Measure out some of each wine, taste it, and change it. Write down what you used as you go so you can make it again later.
Trade glasses. Taste what the people next to you came up with. You’ll find out fast whose came out best.
Meet the new Malbec. To close the night, Gary pours our Rattlesnake Hills Malbec next to the current release Malbec. The Rattlesnake Hills hasn’t been released, so you’ll be some of the first people to taste it, and you can take bottles home that night.
8:30 · Head home. Take your card with you. It’s the recipe for a wine nobody else has made.
How seats work
- Every seat is $49.
- Members can bring their spouse or partner plus up to two guests. Your spouse or partner doesn’t count as one of your guests.
- There are 80 seats in all.
- Members get first pick through Saturday, October 10. After that, open seats go to the waitlist.
- Bring a guest who joins the Silvan Society, and you each get a bottle on us: our bubbles or our Malbec, your pick.
- This is a 21 and over night.
- With only 80 seats, we can’t offer refunds once a seat is booked.

Do I need to know anything about wine?
No. Gary walks everybody through it, and nobody at the table has done this before.
Is dinner included?
There’ll be light food pairings on the table while you blend.
Can I buy the new Malbec?
Yes, that night only. Afterwards it goes back to rest until Gary releases it, and that could be a year or more.
What if I can’t make it?
With only 80 seats, we can’t refund a seat once it’s booked. If your plans change, call Tamera at 509-548-1000 and we’ll do what we can.
Is there an age limit?
Yes. It’s a 21 and over night.
I’m not a member. Can I come?
Yes, as a member’s guest. If you know someone in the Society, ask them to bring you. Join the Society while you’re here and you both get a bottle on us. After 10/10: you can join the waitlist.
